Manager Terrified of Terminating Employee Without Consent
Steve is not a high performing employee, in fact he has frequently been one of the lowest performers on his team and even in his org. But Steve’s manager does not want to proceed with firing without his consent. His manager has reached out and attempted to schedule time to talk in safe space to request if he would consent to the firing.
“Every single time we have attempted to have the talk Steve has been extremely busy.” said Steve’s manager.
We reached out the company for comment and were informed, “Its absolutely imperative we retain consent from any employee for taking any action”.
Have we gone too far in this reality? Is this sustainable with recent market behavior?
It has been an already progressive year in terms of advancement of rights.
